This year, we continue the celebration of our 5th Charter Day, honoring the remarkable journey of Legends Charter School and its impact on 900 scholars in Prince George’s County. Founded by visionary leaders dedicated to educational innovation and equity, our school embodies the spirit of Brown vs. Board of Education, championing educational freedom and equality for all students.
The program this year will feature a dynamic panel discussion, showcasing distinguished speakers who will discuss the school’s ongoing impact on Prince George’s County and beyond. In addition, a silent auction will offer unique items, with all proceeds benefiting the school’s educational programs and student-focused initiatives. The event will also highlight the invaluable contributions of AmeriCorps Legends Fellows.

On June 6, 2019 the Prince George's County School Board approved the Charter for Legends Public Charter School to open in August of 2020, starting with 600 scholars from Kindergarten to 5th Grade.
Legends Charter School is now fully operational, serving 900 scholars from Kindergarten to 8th Grade.
